H.I.V, and AIDS related issues in Nigeria.

H.I.V,means  human immune deficiency virus. is a virus that breaks human  immune system in a way
that no  cells can be able to defend it self from any infections.if  the virus have eaten deep into the body organs without any applications of retroviral drugs the virus can turn  to a full blown AIDS,the retroviral drugs   stops the virus from  developping to full blown aids.
Nigeria just like any  other African countries has continue to struggle with this epidemic  but the  result is still showing the increase on the numbers of the people that get infected with this scourge in a daily basis. according to the (professional resources around the world for west and central Africa in 2016 stated that about 3.2 million people in Nigeria are living with the HIV epidemic, while 2.9% adult  are HIV positive, and about 200,000 new cases is being emerged monthly, they further more stated  that 160,000 has  died in Nigeria  alone as a result of aids, even though 31%  adult are receiving the retroviral  drugs and the children under this drugs are estimated about 21%                                                                                                                                                           Nigeria has the largest number of people who get infected with HIV in the world ,and number two in the sub Sahara Africa .tuberculosis is one of the illness that associated with the HIV, and the Nigeria is ranking as the world number four, for the numbers of people  infected with tuberculosis the world over.but the  numbers  of people that  can access the retroviral drugs  in Nigeria is just a  fraction of   people witht the deadly  scourge,                                     the studies has also shown that sex workers are the contributors of spraying the diseases.as their male counterpart is estimated to be 18.6% while the female has the highest figure of 24.5% regular used of condom by this sex workers is putting them in the red side, however up till this moment ,people that goes for  HIV test in Nigeria is as low as 41.8%. meanwhile the infection among homosexual in 2017 is recorded at 13.6%
consequently in Nigeria there are some states in the country  that has the highest rate of HIV infected persons,   in 2012 Akwa ibom has the highest number of the people that are infected with HIV.  followed by some states such as                                                          Benue state fall on number two, with about estimated number of infected people up to 600,000 .                                                                                                                                                                            but in 2015 Rivers state surpassed every states in the entire federation to hit   the first spots,by 15.5%,                                                                                                                                                         at the same year Taraba state became second after rivers state.also   Kaduna became third in the country,Nasarawa also trail,  followed by FCT,Akwa ibom, Sokoto,Oyo .Akwa Ibom state government has put every necessary policies  on ground to fight against the scourge, with all the effort Akwa Ibom state has put in place yet in 2017 the state be came to be the number one state in Nigeria with the higher rate of HIV infected persons .research has  also shown that married men contribute in spraying the deadly virus ,however in Benue  and Taraba state the case is different because the spray of HIV in those states is as a result of over drunkenness and careless sex,  National aids control agency (NACA)has put every thing in place to reduced the cases of the disease.but public has being reluctant to fight against the scourge either by self discipline or regular medical test, Nigerian public have not shown any remorse to the  NACA  advise that always says, HIV has no cure.stick to your wife .and the regular check  up  should be conducted ,Nigerian should go for HIV test every three months to ascertain their HIV status.if possible abstainance is the only solution, stay safe HIV and AIDS kills.
